Roles & Responsibilities:
- The Public Health Information Management manager is responsible to provide support to IFRC Sub Office in Coxs Bazar Health team to manage and analyse data and produce information products for the operation to improve effective data-driven decision making for allocating resources and setting priorities for health interventions.
- The manager will also be supporting the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, and partner national societies under the supervision of the Emergency Health Delegate. All activities are in support of the IFRC Sub Office Coxs Bazar, Bangladesh Population Movement Emergency appeal.
- Provide Health information management technical support to all partners in health.Ensuring data quality Supporting Mobile Data Collection tools (Open Data Kit).
- Support the digitalisation processes and data management for distribution of data to donors, partners, Ministry of health and Family Welfare.
- Monitoring continuous flow of data from the field
- Analysing gaps in data collection
- Make data available to operation teams, donors, partners, MOHFW to support decision making
- Adhering to Red Cross Red Crescent data protection policies
- Keep information products up to date
- Capacity enhancement: Enhancing the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society capacity in Health information data literacy, data management and data skills.
- Support identifying needs, planning, processing and analyzing studies, surveys based on the operation and context
Educational Qualification:
- Masters degree in any discipline
- Relevant degree (minimum Masters degree) or equivalent experience in Public Health and information management, operational research. Training and experience in Public Health information management, research is mandatory
Work Experience:
- At least 3 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of prior professional experience in the use of HIS, database systems, data visualisation and other information management tools and mechanisms. Working knowledge of vector and raster editing software. Experience in using mobile data collection tools, and electronic encoding of surveys.
- Preferred Experience within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Experience working in complex environments. Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment
- Knowledge and Skills: Preferred Excellent professional communications skills, both verbal and written in both English and Bangla. Strong organizational skills, methodological and logical approach to tasks and problem solving. Good presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to organise, analyse large amounts of information. Ability to manage complex and sensitive data. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel. Competent in working with data collecting tools (Open Data Kit), reporting tools (PowerBI) and GIS software (QGIS). Data literate (knowledge of basic statistics, data structures and types Languages: Required Fluently spoken and written English Fluently spoken and written Bangla
