Roles & Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Senior Management Team of Rohingya Response Program, the Head of Human Resources and Administration will be responsible for overall direction, supervision, capacity-building and evaluation of staff and the provision of effective administration services in both emergency and development settings. S/he will support the development of a healthy culture across the response as well as design and implement a coherent structure consistent with agency practices and programme needs. Ensuring the office complies with all Save the Children Management Operating Standards and Standard Operating Procedures is another vital responsibility of this role. The incumbent will manage complex employee relations including dispute resolutions, disciplinary etc; lead long range people forecasting & HR planning and ensure appropriate performance management, capacity building and succession planning systems are in place. As Head of HR and Admin, s/he will also oversee the overall maintenance of the office premises, facilities assets and equipment; ensure a quality administrative support to all staffs, guests and visitors involved in the RR activities in terms of travel, accommodation and others as well as compliance with Health and Safety regulations. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the position will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours.

Educational Qualification:

  • MBA in Human Resources Management or equivalent from reputed University. Considering quality experience education may relaxed

Work Experience:

  •  At least 10 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • 10 years or more of human resource management experience on which 5 years on a senior management level position; prior experience at management level in emergency response/humanitarian context preferred
  • Hands on experience of development and implementation of strategic and operational HR plans through a number of planning cycles
  • Proven operational HR track-record - experience of providing a senior generalist HR service to managers across a full range of HR issues
  • S/he is also expected to have advanced knowledge on office administration, excellent understanding on program complexities and perspective
  • Excellent skills in handling and advising on complex people management issues along with problem solving and decision making
  • Understanding staff care for humanitarian staff, in particular approaches to welfare, stress, R&R and debriefing
  • Excellent communication skills including a high level of written and spoken English
