Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist Executive Director in operating & improving organizational management including administration & human resource management, program management, financial management, PME system etc. of the organization.
  • Assist Executive Director in monitoring program implementation to achieve the intended outputs and outcomes as outlined in the result chain through updating plan, schedule and supervising program activities etc.;
  • Assist Executive Director to ensure quality of program delivery through regular program monitoring, budget forecasting, program evaluation and planning;
  • Ensure implementation of all existing policies and strategic plan of Unnayan Dhara.
  • Ensure the fulfillment of the compliances including legal, programmatic & financial compliances as articulated in the donors agreements, registration authorities and other relevant authorities.
  • Review, analyze, examine, recommend on matters related to HR, Finance, IT, Admin, Gender, Performance evaluation etc.
  • Develop quality reports following specific organizational and donor guidelines;
  • Working with a wide range of stakeholders to get their inputs and involvement in the program and maintain regular communication & coordination with relevant stakeholders including local government officials, research institutes, government bodies and other NGOs to improve the planning and effectiveness of the program;
  • Manage and mentor project staff, oversee appraisal and undertake wellbeing and capacity development of staff in coordination and consultation with the organization management;
  • Supporting the program staffs in conducting participatory planning, monitoring & evaluation and ensure target group participation in all phases of the program as well as in detailing out filed activities, including community engagement plans, target groups capacity development, stakeholders engagement and a broad variety of other activities to ensure the successful delivery of the program;
  • Ensure all project-related equipments and supplies are procured in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements and proper use & maintenance of the fixed assets of the organization;
  • Directing finance people to ensure accurate accounting of program finances as well as effective cash-flow;
  • Writing project proposal in logical framework approach and result based planning as well as documentation & reporting;
  • Working as head of the PME team in reinforcing the PME system and conduct monitoring & internal evaluation, impact assessment of the organization, program and projects;
  • Assist Executive Director in maintaining close working relation with national and international networks in the field of Sustainable Agriculture, Food Security & Climate Change;
  • Taking care of logistical aspects in order to ensure the smooth implementation of the program;
  • Support the organization in fundraising and donor relations management;
  • Preparing the ToR, MoU, and agreement for service providers and others where necessary;
  • Any other responsibility as assigned by the organization.

Educational Qualification:

  • Master of Social Science (MSS)
  • Masters in any relevant discipline preferably MBA, agribusiness, agriculture, agricultural economics, management, public administration.

Work Experience:

  • 10 to 14 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Excellent speaking & writing skill in both Bengali and English
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure & handle stressful situations.
  • Strongly demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking capabilities; communication skills and proven time management aptitude is essential.
  • The ability to use a wide range of interpersonal skills to establish productive working relationships with all levels of people both inside and outside the organization.
  • High level of self-confidence with ability to adapt to changing environments;
  • Ability to initiate study to develop appropriate proactive strategies and policies to support long term strategic plan.
  • High degree of personal initiative and achievement motivation, setting personal standards of excellence and ongoing performance improvement
