Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Participate to the creation of the hygiene promotion strategy in collaboration with the Friendship WASH team based on the specific needs and the cultural background of the refugees, both in camp and non-camp locations in Coxs Bazar District
  • Plan the weekly activities for his/her team and have them approved by his/her Senior Program Manager
  • Plan human resources needs (daily workers, workers...)
  • Plan tool and material needs (request from stock)
  • Anticipate administrative & logistic issues (requests in advance, transport, communication means)
  • Organize and carry out, with his/her team, tasks assigned by his/her Senior Program Manager
  • Lead and follow KAP surveys
  • Supervise and monitor each stage of activity. Ensure that standards and instructions given by his/her Senior Program Manager, as well as NCA/Friendship, are followed
  • Train his/her team on HP activities implementation and Hygiene Kit vouchers distribution and follow up
  • Plan in collaboration with health partners Acute Watery Diarrhea cases alert and referral
  • Participate to Gender Base Violence cases alert and referral
  • Respect schedules and deadlines agreed upon with his/her Senior Program Manager
  • Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the course of the activities and suggest operational solutions
  • Develop trust, tolerance and co-operation among community members
  • Collaborate with a number of other agencies, including local authorities and international aid workers during the implementation of WASH programs
  • Logistics and Administration
  • When recruiting daily workers or volunteers, follow procedures and directives outlined by his/her Senior Program Manager and the administrative service
  • Train his/her team members to use and maintain the available tools correctly
  • Support and manage his HP assistant
  • Track usage with monitoring tools provided

Work Experience:

 

Others Requirements:

  • Experience in local community and within an NGO context
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Oral communication skills in Bangla and Rohingays language is preferred
  • Proven ability to build capacity of partners/ stakeholders through formal trainings and informal job shadowing and mentoring
  • Ability to monitor quality work of project-hired contractors
  • Ensure record keeping of received materials of tube-well and latrine construction
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must have cross-cultural sensitivity, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Must have a genuine concern to help the Rohingya people
