Junior Finance Officer (In-charge of Field Payments )

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Establish a daily/weekly statement of needs for field payments
  • Coordinates with program and logistics team for field payments
  • Carry out withdrawals and payments in accordance with established procedures
  • Manages all payments to daily workers and benefeciaries (4 day per week)
  • Keep the advance books and cash journal updated
  • Reconcile cash box on daily basis and report any discrepancies to her/his supervisor
  • Replenish Cash as per cash box policy
  • Ensure that supporting documents are in compliance with internal and donors procedures
  • Record all entries according to the internal procedures
  • Proper filing of monthly cash/bank inventories
  • Provide support for the monthly closing
  • Ensure the voucherisation and the archiving of accounting documents according internal procedures
  • Ensure compliance of VAT and Tax policy before booking.
  • Control the effectiveness of VAT and Tax payments deposit into bank
  • Keep separate files for VAT & Tax payment records
  • Ensure the creation of reports requested by her/his Supervisor
  • Take part of the weekly finance meeting
  • Cooperate with other departments (mainly programs) and ensure support to them regarding payments in the camp
  • Undertake any other responsibility as provided by her/his Supervisor.

Educational Qualification:

  • Professional diploma or university degree in Finance. Knowledge of the accounting software SAGA as a asset.

Work Experience:

  • At least 1 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills with MS Excel.
  • Working experience of minimum 1 year in relevant field.
  • Capacity to manage payments in the field.
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Knowledge of the local languages (Chittagong or Rohingya) as a plus
  • Punctual, flexible, reactive and trustful.
  • Autonomous and calm under pressure.
  • Agree to comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and promote Child Safeguarding policy, Policy on the Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and the Policy on (Sexual) Harassment and Abuse of Authority.
  • Report serious cases of abuse on children that she/he would be aware of in Tdhs intervention locations. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
  • Adhere to and enforce current administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.
  • Tdh intervenes without any affiliation for politics, religion or financial profit. He/she will direct his or her activities and engagements without preoccupation of political, racial or religious affiliation.
