Roles & Responsibilities:
- Identify, review, analyze and manage operational risks in all products, businesses & support units of IDLC Finance Ltd
- Review of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of each department of IDLC Finance Ltd. and perform gap/risk analysis
- Review and recommend for update/change in SOPs/ processes maintaining the industry best practices
- Facilitate the development of the Key Operational Risks, escalations, mitigation, key risk indicators and targets across the country
- Analyzing operational risk data (typically losses, metrics or assessment results) to identify areas of excessive risk and also to ensure past mitigation efforts are having the desired effect
- Investigating what is causing metrics to deviate from trend and escalating situations that pose excessive risk
- Identifying root causes of major internal losses and ensuring similar businesses across the organization is aware of risks and recommendations
- Identifying exposures in planned new products, services & processes and ensuring mitigating steps are taken to prevent losses upon implementation
- Consolidate, analyze and review operational risk losses, events and other indicators
- Ensure implementation of process controls embedded in Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Review existing & new PPG/products across the organization and identify the operations risks and propose mitigation
- Analyze the best industry / global practices in operational Risk Management
- Develop and review unit/department wise checklist of operational risk
- To review and update (if necessary) the documentation checklist of Operations division also review and monitor the pending documents checklist
- Management of risks identified at branch business operations and administrative operations level
- Assist in conducting periodic meeting, generate summary report and escalate medium/high risk issues to HoCC
- Evaluate appropriateness of risk ownership. Analyzing identified trends in the key risk indicators report to HoCC
- Monitoring the implementation of action plans to address medium and red key risks on the risk and control self-assessments/risk registers
- Identify issues escalated through various ORM tools
- Confirm risk graded at ORM level and proposes process changes
- Assign ownership of mitigation actions at unit level and monitor outcome
- Implement operational risk policy and procedures in line with regulatory and market changes
- Prepare and maintain risk management documentation, risk policies and risk reports
- Develop risk assessment program and action plans to mitigate operational risks
- Work with business unit to understand business, key drivers, concerns, future plans and offer support to mitigate risk
- Periodic Branch visit to assess operational risk and propose mitigation
- Designing and conducting training session, presentations and workshop sessions on operational risk identification and mitigation
- Proactively provide specialist operational risk advice, and constructive challenge, to the wider Operational teams
- Contributing, promoting and monitoring continuous improvement in Risk Culture across the Operational areas
Educational Qualification:
- MBA/BBA majoring in Finance / Accounting from a reputed university
- Additional qualification as CA (Advanced level/Professional level) will be preferable
- Preferably 2 years experience in internal audit, external audit, accounting, countrys laws and regulations and compliance related services
Work Experience:
- At least 2 year(s)
