Roles & Responsibilities:
- Dispense medicines to all patients according to the doctors prescription.
- Provide counseling to patients regarding the proper usage of prescribed medications.
- Routinely monitor the expiry dates of medicines; those medicines with short expiry dates will be used first before they become expired.
- Keep the drug store clean and store the medicine appropriately with up to date bin cards, in order to be checked easily and issued properly.
- Monitor and ensure optimum room temperatures are maintained and charting room temperatures regularly where appropriate
- Prevent physical damage and contamination of drugs.
- Ensure all stock related reports and inventories are completed.
- Notify the in-charge of the drug stock levels to ensure no stock outs.
- Work with other health staff to ensure clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential equipment and supplies.
- Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies.
- Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies.
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
- Provide support and mentor ship to other clinic staff, providing on-the-job training where needed.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners.   Ensure dispensary records including stock cards, bin cards, registers are maintained daily
- Submit daily reports in a timely manner.
- Perform daily inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies.
- Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies.
- Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Medair management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for health teams.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop the health teams.
Educational Qualification:
- HSC
- Diploma in pharmacy and/or trained as a dispenser along with 1-2 years work experience
- Registered with Bangladesh pharmacy board
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year(s)

- Diploma or certificate in public health
- Training in humanitarian standards
- Previous work within a natural disaster or mass casualty incident is an added advantage.
- Previous work with a humanitarian NGO
- Fluent in Rohingya language
- Good interpersonal skills
