Roles & Responsibilities:
- Responsible to manage and oversee community health volunteers to carry out social behaviour change communication (SBCC)
- With the support of the Health Project Manager/Health Manager, recruit community health volunteers (CHVs)
- Provide training to volunteers on health and nutrition community activities, with support of Health Project Manager/Health Manager
- Provide regular supportive supervision to CHVs to enable them to perform their duties effectively
- Act as a link between Medair and community members such as community leaders, volunteers, beneficiaries and beneficiary groups
- Support planning for health and nutrition activities at community level in line with national/local guidelines
- Promote adoption of good health and nutrition practices and behaviour learnt at community and household level
- Identify and reporting challenges faced in implementation for timely resolution
- Coordinate the dissemination of health and nutrition promotional messages in the targeted community
- Monitor and supervise data collection by volunteers and ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
- Provide support and mentorship to other clinic staff, providing on-the-job community health/SBCC training when needed
- Supervise community health volunteers including monitoring attendance, arranging schedules and assigning areas of work
- Report to management staff any disciplinary actions needed
- With support of health manager facilitate regular meetings with Community Health Volunteers for feedback and trouble shooting
- Provide daily oversite and supervision to ensure the community health activities are carried out with the highest quality
- Meet with beneficiaries to get feedback on activities, needs, and improve ways of working
- Meet with community leaders to ensure support for the project and better uptake of the community to the health services
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners
- Review, compile and submit reports as required by Medair, cluster and MOHFW
Educational Qualification:
- HSC
- Diploma in public health or other relevant clinical degree (nurse, MA, clinical doctor) with 1-2 years work experience
- Registration with local licensing authority
- Knowledge of social behaviour change communication theory
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year(s)

- Diploma or certificate in public health
- Training in humanitarian standards
- Previous work within a natural disaster or mass casualty incident is an added advantage.
- Previous work with a humanitarian NGO
- Fluent in Rohingya language
- Good interpersonal skills
