Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical care, working closely with the clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high quality comprehensive emergency and primary healthcare services.
- Triage, screening and assessment of patients.
- Performs basic first aid and wound care
- Performs basic delivery care in emergency situations.
- Performs any needed neonatal and obstetric resuscitation activity.
- Ensures timely supported referrals to the nearest emergency obstetric care center.
- Performs and promotes safe post-abortion care.
- Refers STI cases to the medical doctor.
- Identifies survivors of sexual assault and refers them for registration, counselling, and care through the psychosocial and protection focal point on the mobile team
- Provides antenatal and postnatal care in line with relevant standards and protocols.
- Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient/caregiver counselling.
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
- Ensure accurate recording of information in the clinic registers, and timely completion of summary reports.
- Ensure wards/clinic areas are appropriately stocked with essential equipment and supplies.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
- Provide support and mentor-ship to other clinic staff, providing on-the-job training where needed.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners.
- Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed.
- Submit daily reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure regular inventory and consumption tracking of medical drugs and supplies.
- Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supply Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Medair management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for health teams.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop the health teams.
Educational Qualification:
- HSC
- Qualified Nurse/ Midwife with Nursing diploma/certificate
- Registered with local Nursing/Midwifery Council.
Work Experience:
- At least 2 year(s)

- Diploma or certificate in public health
- Training in humanitarian standards
- Previous work within a natural disaster or mass casualty incident is an added advantage.
- Previous experience and training in sexual gender based violence and clinical care for sexual assault survivors
- Previous work with a humanitarian NGO
- Fluent in Rohingya language
- Good interpersonal skills
