Sector Specialist, C4D (Contractual), Humanitarian Crisis Management Project

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support to strategy design and development of Communication For Development (C4D) activities
  • Implement of the programme communication strategy and plan of action for social and behavioral change ensuring effective programme delivery.
  • Effective communication and maintain liaison with UN Officials and BRAC management and coordination with all related stakeholders
  • Regular report preparation and donor reporting as per project need and also to related humanitarian cluster like Communications with Community (CWC)
  • Contribute to proposal development and fund raising activities for future funding
  • Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders, community leaders and other civil society partners to promote their participation in social and behavioral changes and support for programme goals
  • Provide technical support to the C4D team to ensure a high standard of implementation of strategy and activities and use of communication tools for social development
  • Monitor, evaluate and prepare reports on programme activities; exchange information on findings, lessons learned and best practices with government officials, programme staff, and other key stakeholders

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor or Masters in Social Science/ Behavioral Science/ Arts or any other related subjects from any recognised university/ institution with minimum 2nd division/ class or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in all academic examinations

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive professional experience in relevant field. Candidates having experience of work in emergency responses will be preferred
  • Sound understanding on IPC & Micro planning; Advocacy and Social Communication
  • Knowledge of evidence-based behavior change practices, knowledge management, M&E and project management
  • Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data analysis
