Business Development Officer

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To support the implementation of the business development strategy.
  • To take responsibility for activities at every stage of the pursuit process including but not limited to: securing and coordinating pursuit teams; drafting expressions of interest; identifying and drafting track record; identifying and negotiating with partners and consultants; and actively contributing to bid development and grant proposals.
  • Research, develop and maintain positive relationships with partners and consultants and contribute to an effective partner and consultant management database.
  • Overall responsibilities of developing business solutions of implementing development projects for Asian Development Bank (ADB), The World Bank, GoB, DFID and other funding agencies.
  • Develop necessary support and maintaining regular communication with the concerned officers at the different government and donor agencies for following up project
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of specified project activities and undertake specified technical/support tasks
  • Active participation in identifying and taking consent of the resource persons for proposing them in the projects
  • Development and management of relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders including development partners and funding agencies/organizations, ministries etc.
  • To provide regular reporting to Director Business Development, CEO and the other Senior Management Team.

Educational Qualification:

  • Having relevant University Degree, preferably in business or international development

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • At least three years of progressive experience working in development sector
  • Understanding of tendering requirements and Proposal Management process for a range of commercial clients (i.e. DFID, EC, WB, ADB) and demonstrated experience of developing the Expression of Interest (EoI) and technical and financial proposal.
  • Very good English language skills
  • Good analytical ability and report writing skills
