Manager - Nutrition, Rohingya Response

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The Manager-Nutrition will be responsible for leading Emergency Nutrition Project at Teknaf or Ukhiya as a part of Rohingya Response Program.
  • The Manager oversees, and is responsible for, providing technical and strategic guidance to the planned CMAM, C-MAMI and IYCF-E activities in selected camps/settlements.
  • S/he will provide support to Nutrition Supervisor & IYCF-E Core Team for planning and implementation of CMAM, C-MAMI and IYCF-E activities according to deadlines, coordination with the UNICEF/WFP/UNHCR/MOHFW, maintaining working relationships with local MOH & FW authorities plus stakeholders.
  • S/he will actively engage in nutrition cluster and other relevant technical working groups. S/he will supervise the Nutrition Supervisor in field level, control the budget and prepare reports for Save the Children International (SCI) and its donor.
  • The position will work in close collaboration with the Senior Program Manager-Nutrition, based in CXB and Senior Advisor-Nutrition of SCI based in CXB.
  • Additional inter-sectorial collaboration with health, WASH, FSL, CP and other sectors will be necessary.

Educational Qualification:

  • Masters Degree, preferably in Nutrition or Public Health. Considering quality experience education may relax.

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Excellent technical knowledge on nutrition programming especially implementation and management of the OTP, IYCF-E & C-MAMI
  • Experience of project management including budget management of multiple awards.
  • Excellent skills in program planning, coordinating, representing, partnership management and staff management
  • Willingness to spend at least 70% of time in the field is essential
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, excellent interpersonal-skills/ ability to represent the organization with local authorities and community leaders.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites
