Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting climate finance governance assessment, project monitoring applying quantitative as well as qualitative research tools and techniques;
  • Identify review and analyze the relevant research literature, contact and hold discussions with stakeholders, take interviews, collect data;
  • Transcribe field interviews and assist in writing research reports;
  • Assist in data analysis and prepare presentations;
  • Assist in communication and in organizing conferences, dialogues, workshops, meetings, and campaigns on climate finance governance;
  • Prepare fund requests, budgets and budget utilization reports;
  • Assist in writing donor reports, internal and external audit, documentation on programme activities;
  • Assist in finance and administration activities of CFPI project (e.g. preparing note for record, raising purchase requisition, documentation);
  • Any other programme related duties assigned by the authority.

Educational Qualification:

  • Must have a Masters or equivalent degree preferably with Honours in any of the following subjects: Economics, Geography and Environment, Environmental Science, Disaster Management, Sociology, Anthropology, Development Studies, Governance Studies;
  • Candidate with 3rd Division or CGPA less than 2.5 on a scale of 4 or 3 on a scale of 5 at any level of their education need not apply;

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Must have minimum two (02) years experience in research in related field. Length of experience may be relaxed in case of candidates having experience in climate finance governance related work;
  • Preference will be given to candidates having experience and learning on both research and programme;
  • Significant knowledge about quantitative and qualitative research techniques and practical experience in application of data collection tools and techniques (e.g KoBo toolbox, FGD, KII, Case Study);
  • Must have computer skills in MS Office, Access, Excel and familiarity with internet-based communication technologies;
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in both Bengali and English;
  • Experience of using analytical tools such as SPSS, STATA, GIS would will be treat as an extra advantage;
  • S/he must be comfortable working with people of diverse age-groups with various social, economic, professional, and/other cross cultural identities; and
  • Must be prepared to undertake frequent field trips.
