Financial Controller

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the programme team in preparing project documents and credit proposals
  • Review, analyze and assess budget proposals and financial reports of partners and projects
  • Participate in financial risk assessments (PRA) and CBAs for partner organizations
  • Draft and monitor agreements with implementing partners and plan and process disbursement accordingly
  • Follow up of financial review recommendations and action plans
  • Ensure compliance with rules and regulations
  • Conduct field visits for financial monitoring, control and audit
  • Maintain project and contract data in the ERP systems (SAP/Navision)
  • Coach programme officers and partners in financial management and monitoring
  • Assist the Head of Finance in managing financial risks, and overall financial planning

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates with a post-graduate degree (Master in Finance/Accounting, CA, CMA, ACCA or equivalent) from a reputed Bangladeshi or foreign academic institution

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience and a strong background in financial management and project controlling - preferably in a development environment - are invited to apply.
  • In addition a strong interest in international and national development, excellent IT skills (SAP, Excel, Word, etc.), strong analytical skills, professional integrity and social competencies as well as excellent English speaking and writing skills are required.
