Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drafting & vetting of various legal documents, plaints, petitions, Agreements, Deeds, Legal Notice etc.
  • Provide legal opinion on different banking issues.
  • Review & monitor court case/suits/writs, maintain regular correspondences & contacts with concerned lawyers and to attend different courts of law for quick disposal of cases/suits/writs.
  • Maintain database & review on-going litigation matters of the bank with different courts of law and to advise management for appropriate disposal.
  • Keep liaison with concerned departments to ensure quick settlement of issues under litigation.
  • Prepare periodic status reports/statements on legal cases before the management with necessary recommendation.
  • Any other responsibility as & when assigned by the management of the bank from time to time.

Educational Qualification:

  • LLB from a recognized university having no third division/class or equivalent CGPA in academic career. Candidates having LLM degree will get preference.

Work Experience:

  • At least 8 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Age at least 25 years
  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in a bank/financial institution/law firm. May be relaxed for deserving candidates.
  • Must have good understanding & knowledge of Companies Act, Bank Companies Act, NI Act, Ortho Rin Adalat Ain, Stamp Act, Registration Act, Property Act, Labour Laws, Civil & Criminal Laws etc.
  • Candidates having enrolled with the Bar Council to practice law in the Lower Courts and High Court Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court will get preference.
  • Good writing skills both Bangla & English and computer literacy.
  • Must have confidence & ability to represent bank in different courts of law, regulators & any other institutions.
  • Must be proactive and be able to work under minimum supervision.
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication & presentation skills with leadership quality.
  • Not over 40 years. May be relaxed for deserving candidates.
