Policy Advocacy Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The Policy Advocacy specialist will work in close collaboration with the Project Director/ Associate Director and be specifically responsible for:
  • Conducting a comprehensive stakeholder analysis and engagement plan/ strategy according to sustainability strategy
  • Preparing detailed action plan for integrating sustainability considerations across the BHASA programme interventions
  • Marinating lliaison with Government agencies (eg. DGHS, MoWCA, BFSCD, LGRD, DGDM etc) and development partners at the national level and divisional level.
  • Conducting training, workshop and meeting at the national, division and district level in relation with sustainability
  • Supervising and monitoring the sustainability related field activities.
  • Dcommentating the sustainability process with the support of other BHASA team members
  • Conducting a quarterly debriefing session for CIPRB and other relevant stakeholders
  • Preparing quarterly progress report detailing the findings and preliminary recommendations including challenges, interventions and successes.

Educational Qualification:

  • MBBS/ MSS (Social Science) with MPH from any reputed universities.

Work Experience:

  • 10 to 15 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • 10-15 years experience in policy advocacy preferably within the health system with expertise in preparing national strategy policy development and excellent networks across Bangladesh government and development agencies.
  • Experience working within the Bangladesh Government system.
  • Experience with logical framework or other monitoring and evaluation tools appropriate for advocacy (for example outcome mapping).
  • Experience of integrating sustainability considerations in policy, plan and project development
  • Experience of influencing policy, mobilizing resources and forging effective partnerships
  • Experience of identifying and engaging with stakeholders on a particular issue
  • Good experience with policy formation
  • Good networks across Bangladesh government and development partners
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to deliver results.
  • Excellent skill in verbal and written communications in English
  • Knowledge in developing strategies, report writing

Others Benefit:

Travel and daily allowance as per organization policy of the organization. These costs are excluded from the remuneration.
