Roles & Responsibilities:

Officer- Learning & Development plays an imperative role in the delivery of field-based HR support and services to the humanitarian response programs ongoing under Coxs Bazar Area Office. The incumbent is mainly responsible for facilitating volunteer training, arranging new joiners induction sessions, supporting the staff training and performance management process, and assisting in the execution of various staff wellbeing initiatives. S/he assists in the preparation and update of annual training calendar, monthly report on L&D initiatives and activities, and on a need-basis, directly facilitates training/induction sessions. Some of the other key duties of this role are to maintain all documentations of volunteer recruitment, ensure timely order placement and distribution of volunteer ID cards, and maintain the volunteer master list. S/he also helps in carrying out all typical administrative tasks and duties of the HR team.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor/BBA, preferably in Human Resource Management. Advanced Certificate/ Diploma in Human Resource Management and/or Learning & Development is preferred.

Work Experience:

At least 3 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • 03 years working experience in Human Resource Management with a focus on Learning & Development function in humanitarian response program with NGO and/or UN agencies
  • Basic knowledge and good understanding of child protection, child safeguarding and child focused service delivery principles and practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge and capacity of scheduling, organizing as well as facilitating training sessions on organizational culture, values, attributes, and systems
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; Familiarity with ERP (Oracle) or other DBMS operations
  • Good oral & written communication skills to collaborate in an across-cultural set up
  • High volume data management, setting priorities and time management, organizing, negotiation, and documentation & filing skills
  • People-centric and service-delivery focused mindset, enthusiasm for learning and contribution, and a proactive approach in problem solving
  • Ability to work under extreme circumstances, including stress, high security risks and harsh living conditions. Works and lives with a flexible, adaptable and resilient manner
