Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Technical Advisor for Capacity Building and the Adolescent and Youth Specialist to facilitate the design of a Family Planning Certification Pilot on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Counselling.
  • Work with NIPORT, DGFP, DGHS and other relevant stakeholders to inform the design and implementation of the pilot
  • Document pilot design, including development of metrics and benchmarks to support pilot monitoring
  • Facilitate advisory and working group meetings over the course of pilot implementation with resources from the project, NIPORT, DGFP, DGHS and other stakeholders
  • Support the implementation of the pilot Certification program and document the implementation processes
  • Identify and work with certification body on issuance of certificates
  • Work with the projects MIS manager to develop the platform for family planning certification
  • Using ongoing results from the pilot, plan and conduct advocacy and sensitization activities at different levels with the project team to generate support for FP certification programs,
  • Document the challenges and lessons learned of the implementation of the pilot
  • Work on tracking, feedback and updating mechanisms for the FP certification program
  • Prepare technical documents and internal/external communications, as required, on family planning certification
  • Prepare content documenting progress to date on the FP certification pilot for routine quarterly project progress reports as well as in response to ad hoc requests by the donor or other stakeholders
  • Submit a full report on the FP Certification pilot
  • Any other relevant duties

Educational Qualification:

  • Medical doctors with Masters in public health is required.

Work Experience:

  • At least 10 year(s)

    Others Requirements:

    • Experience Required: Minimum 10 years experiences working in health, sexual reproductive health and family planning sector
    • Additional Job Requirements:
    • Technical expertise on comprehensive family planning and sexual reproductive health, adolescent and youth friendly services is required
    • Experience working with NIPORT, DGFP and DGHS is required
    • Innovative, dynamic, demonstrated good negotiation and advocacy competencies
    • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to lead and build consensus, cooperation, and coalitions among individuals with competing interests
    • Demonstrated ability to research and analyze Government policies, regulations and standards related to the public health and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Bangla and English is required
    • Computer literacy in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Computer literacy in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Willingness to travel within the respective division and to head office periodically.
