Roles & Responsibilities:
- Represent EdM in relevant networks and in EdMs dialogue with governmental actors;
- Coordinate projects and programmes supported by EdM:
- Conduct regular meetings with partner organizations and field visits of projects/programmes; Support partner organizations in: monitoring project/programme activities, implementing advocacy strategies the elaboration of semi-annual and annual reports; Monitor financial reports of partner organizations; Selection of local audits firms;
- Support to EdM Geneva.
- Identify prospective programmes / partners particularly in Bangladesh and in Nepal;
- Search for prospective fundraising opportunities specially in focus with the country perspective in Bangladesh and Nepal and in relation with EdM vision and strategy;
- Facilitate in support for on-site and in technical aspects of the projects/ programmes remotely;
- Assist in the organisation (EdM) regarding/ during field missions by the HQ Officials;
- Coordinate and handle affairs/ issues related to NGO Affairs Bureau, relevant Ministries and local administration for project approval and reporting to authorities;
- Be responsible for the financial and administrative management of the regional office;
- Collaborate with EdM HQ in fundraising and communication.
Educational Qualification:
- Masters Degree preferably in medical sciences, social sciences or in similar fields;
Work Experience:
- At least 15 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- At least 15 years of experience in programme management and monitoring in a national or international NGO, in particular in the field of public health/health promotion;
- Experience as a Country Director, Program Director, or Chief of Party with a strong reputation for developing collaborative working relationships with local counterparts and relevant state actors and agencies, international organizations, and donors would be an asset;
- Experience in working with results based management (RBM);
- Experience in collaboration with networks and Ministries, especially with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Community Clinic Health Support Trust (CCHST);
- Good knowledge in financial management;
- Proactive and creative;
- Very good oral and written English skills;
- Knowledge (or diploma) of another language, preferable French, would be an asset.
