Roles & Responsibilities:
- Carry out day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping.
- Control of local expenditures and monitoring of expenditures in relation to the project budget.
- Ensure that organizational standard accounting procedures are followed for all payments to vendors/ partners, advance liquidation and prepare & disseminate financial reports timely.
- Submit cash requests to coxs bazar office on a regular basis to ensure financial support to project operation and prepare Bank reconciliation.
- Disburse salary to staffs.
- Record and maintain Petty cash and bank transactions reports.
- Verify invoices and prepares payment vouchers.
- Maintain the Disbursement/Payment Vouchers.
- Deposit all funds (both cash & checks) into the appropriate bank accounts.
- Assist to ensure correct and timely payments to vendors.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure support to the expatriate as needed from time to time.
- Prepare proper documentation and recording of documents and information.
- Prepare reports and submit to Field Operations Manager, F&A when necessary.
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programmes goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Educational Qualification:
- BBA/ MBA in Accounting/ Finance/Business Administration or any other relevant subject from any reputed public and private university. Educational qualification may be relaxed based on the experience and for the potential candidates.
Work Experience:
- At least 1 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- Basic understanding on accounting procedures, bookkeeping, bill & vouchers validation etc.
- Knowledge on budget management.
- Knowledge on MS Office Applications
- Communication skill both in English and Bengali
- Reporting skill.
- Competency on operational accounting
- Competency on record keeping and documentation
