Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for advising the leadership team on the required operations capabilities to enable the effective functions of the organization.
  • Constantly keep all issues related to production, quality, shipment and factory operations on the senior leadership teams radar.
  • Supports and advises senior leadership team on operational business issues and factors, including factory administration.
  • Work with business leaders and contribute to the development of organizational strategies.
  • Provide key input on operational capabilities requirements and solutions to support the execution of business strategies and export goals.
  • Facilitate and manage the numerous steering committee meetings and forums for the organization for the factory.
  • Write and submit reports to the senior leadership in all matters of importance.
  • LEAD THE OPERATIONS FUNCTION:
  • Ensure that the values and leadership standards are communicated and understood at all levels.
  • Build trust among team members and broader stakeholders by setting a highly visible example for colleagues within the strategy team in terms of professional excellence and commitment to demonstrating values and competencies.
  • Create and maintain a team culture that values, recognizes and generates high performance, supports innovation and challenges the status quo.
  • Ensure the integration of new initiatives into business operations while minimizing the risk of potential negative impact on existing operations by validating adjustments to existing processes, interfaces and exception handling as well as providing of sufficient training.
  • Provide clear role responsibility, establishing a climate of continuous measurement and performance improvement.
  • Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Provide functional feedback on how well the operations function is meeting the needs of the customer and business and delivering a quality service.
  • Develop on organization wide value proposition that is clear and implementable across the organization driven by organization needs and cross functional requirements.
  • Create processes to share information and experiences, leverage initiatives across the function where appropriate, and enhance productivity of marketing efforts for the brand.
  • Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and services areas, focusing on systems /processes improvement Promote regular and ongoing opportunities for all staff to give feedback on program operations.
  • Develop security and facilities capabilities for the organization and is accountable for ensuring that the functions have the resources to effectively operate within the environment.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
  • Develop a fully functional project management system (PMS) incorporating best-in-class project management capabilities, project management tracking and reporting systems.
  • Overall accountability for managing PMS function for improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the project delivery capability.
  • Responsible for ensuring that PMS has the capabilities that ensure that all new products are actively managed as a project and can move through the entire value chain within the expected time, quality and costs expectation sand that transparency of where the product is throughout the project lifecycle can be reported on promptly.
  • Responsible for the development of the business intelligence capability which provides management information to all relevant leadership stakeholders in order to make informed decisions regarding the operational, tactical and strategic business.
  • Accountable for the development of the project management policy, processes and standards that are followed and enforced within the business.
  • Oversight of all company projects and programs that are aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Establish, implement and manage business process engineering and re-engineering capabilities that will serve the entire organization.
  • CORPORATE AFFAIRS:
  • Initiating and maintaining a policy role and function reflective of the objectives of the organization and of its constituent bodies.
  • Advising and guiding the Management Board on its corporate affairs responsibilities for factory/factories.
  • Works with the senior management to develop corporate social responsibility (CSR) plan and have oversight of all CSR endeavors that are aligned to the strategic priorities.
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
  • Operations Financial Management
  • Financial forecasting for the function.
  • Develops the budget for the function, develop/present annual CAPEX/ OPEX business plan/ budget for factory/factories
  • Actively manage costs relating to functional operations.
  • Cross Functional Integration
  • Enforces matrix management throughout the team.
  • Drives and communicates the company vision and services culture.
  • Measures stakeholder satisfaction and performance.
  • Presents functional success as a means of increased revenue.
  • Ensure alignment and support of all operations and staff members as measured by product performance.
  • Ensure strategic world-class project management capabilities are in place, communicated and operationalized.
  • TECHNICAL KNOWLEGDE AND COMPETENCY MATRIX REQUIRED FOR INCUMBENT TO HOLD COO POSITION
  • Thorough understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing. Understand every stage of garment manufacturing from and forecasting
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development.
  • Skill in preparation of business proposals, annual manufacturing finance related budgets and forecasting.
  • Project management skills including preparation of timely required business proposals, annual manufacturing finance budget.
  • Policy development and deployment skill to maintain a corporate business culture.
  • Knowledge of production planning and capacity management by using of relevant software tools.
  • Experience of working under ERP driven data management business environment, working knowledge of data analysis and performance/ operation metrics,
  • Good Knowledge in Industrial engineering method application over apparel manufacturing process to drive efficiency in the manufacturing process.
  • Thorough Knowledge of garment tech related solutions.
  • Skill in human resource development (HRD).
  • Skill of performance management system implementation, departmental and individual business goals and KPI development.
  • Understanding of all machine and equipment, maintenance and in-depth understanding of Woven production.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree/Diploma/A Level from any reputed institute.
  • Educational Qualification will not be a barrier for experienced & skilled applicants

Work Experience:

  • At least 25 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):<

    Others Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
    • Very good knowledge of different type of sewing related and supporting machineries, attachment.
    • Knowledge of total productive maintenance (TPM) implementation.
    • Good working knowledge of Quality and Quality Management System (QMS), previous exposure to international quality systems
    • Excellent analytical skills, Eye for detail, carry a strategic approach to problem solving and Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills, communication ability to all levels in the organization.
    • Proven experience/track record as Chief Operating Office or relevant role in similar size of apparel manufacturing operation.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead by example is highly desirable
    • Must have good command over spoken & written English and effective interpersonal and Communication.
    • Age may be relaxed for experience & skilled candidate
