Roles & Responsibilities:

• Actively participates in program planning.
• Coordinates activities of counselling services with other relevant actors.
• Liaises with the local counterparts (like MoH, WHO, ICRC and NGOs) on mental health matters, including referral services.
• Identify the need for mental health support in the population and participate in the planning of psychosocial activities.
• Informing the supervisor and the medical team about any issues or problems that may arise related to patients treatment in order to provide the best possible solution from a medical perspective.
• Referring acute patients in need of psychiatric intervention, upon validation from the line manager, informing the caregivers and following up referrals to the psychiatric services.
• Oversees administrative and logistical needs of psychosocial centers Psycho-Social Program, including preparing local purchase orders, when necessary.
• Counseling, monitoring and supervision psycho-social activities
• Actively participates in operational research planning and implementation.

Educational Qualification:

• Degree in Psychology

Work Experience:

• At least 2 year(s)

Others Requirements:

• Both males and females are allowed to apply
• Psycho-social counseling experience at least 2 years.
• Able to provide training and counselling sessions for self-help groups and communities.
• Able to implement policy and to give input for policy development.
• Support counsellors and other mental health staff in the project on clinical, psycho social issues.
• Able to give input to the development and achievement to the project objectives.
• MSF or other NGOs experience is an asset.
• Excellent teaching supervision skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability for work with a team.
• Flexibility.
• Sensibility to the problematic.
• Computer skills: Outlook Express and MS Office.
• English and Bengali proficiency Chittagonian is an asset.
