Roles & Responsibilities:
- The key responsibilities of the Maintenance person (Shift Engineer) include but are not limited to:
- Able to take charge of a shift and look after the operations and maintenance of all running machinery.
- Able to maintain a daily logbook of work done during the shift.
- Able to complete the daily checklist before handing over the shift.
- Maintains accurate log and maintenance records (equipment and shift records).
- Provide immediate attention to any guest request; Direct liaison with all other operating departments.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to any maintenance calls that arise either by the guest or other departments.
- Inspect and ensure smooth operation of mechanical and electrical systems in the hotel such as HVAC, swimming pools, and domestic water systems.
- Repair, maintain and install Ving card systems within the hotel.
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders as assigned.
- Identify and report problems that require follow-up.
- Schedule energy management system to optimize energy savings (DDC).
- Maintain highest standard of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards guests, clients and other associates
- Be self-motivated and able to complete responsibilities in a timely manner with little or no supervision
- Candidate must have demonstrated excellent organizational skills and be able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
- Maintain professional business confidentiality as required
- Able to priorities the maintenance issues e.g.: to attend the breakdown of plant and machinery on priority.
- Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
- Able to use your wits and technical abilities to solve problems and make repairs effectively and efficiently.
- Able to delegate duties to the Engineering supervisors, Ken fix-it and other technicians.
Educational Qualification:
- 04 years diploma-in-engineering electrical/mechanical/ Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning.
Work Experience:
- At least 5 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- At least 05 years related jobs experience and Hotel job will be given preference.
- A passion for delivering great customer service.
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Experience in general trades such as light plumbing, minor electrical, painting & drywall, general repairs required.
- Demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, diplomacy, integrity, honesty and openness.
- Able to demonstrate excellent team spirit and team building skills.
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
