Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all the import and export-related issues of the company and ensure all regulatory formalities relating to import and export in a cost-effective manner.
  • Generate both short-term and long-term material planning for multiple manufacturing plants, in line with the latest actual and future forecasts.
  • Forecast budget for Supply Chain department monthly, quarterly and Yearly (Port Fee, Duty, handling, storage and distribution cost).
  • Liaises with Finance Department regarding monthly budget of import & export department for L/C, customs, Tax/VAT and clearing cost.
  • Maintain Liaison and build up a satisfactory relationship with Customs/ Port Customs & Government authority relevant to our Business.
  • Regularly monitoring & tracking various stages of Import and follow up daily Import, Delivery, Reporting, inform to concern department.
  • Maintain an optimum inventory level to avoid overstock or shortages.
  • Prepare Commercial invoice, packing list, Detail Packing list for export and ensure online shipment booking & documentation for Export.
  • Responsible for export statement & PRC on time.
  • Any other commercial-related task as and when required by the management.
  • To assist the Managing Director, Executive Director, and other related departments in every matter regarding the operational, financial, and strategical aspects of the company.

Educational Qualification:

  • Masters from any discipline or MBA from any recognized university.
  • Skills Required: Commercial

Work Experience:

  • At least 20 year(s)
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business

    Others Requirements:

    • Having at least 20 years Experience in the relevant field, preferably in a large group of Company.
    • Commercial, Supply Chain, Logistic, Export/ Import through L/C/ SC/TT, Documentation (CI, PL, CO, BL), UCP600 and Incoterms 2010
    • Strong communication, persuasion and negotiation skills, both written and oral English
    • Strong Knowledge on Bangladesh Import & Export Policy
    • Knowledgeable about CO(certificate of origin), NOC,GSP, CO/SAFTA/AFTA collecting procedure
    • Able to prepare and provide required documents (CL, PL etc.)
    • Good knowledge of vendor management, C&F agent and networking with NBR, Customs and VAT authorities.
    • Good knowledge of vendor development, international raw material pricing, and securing smooth flow of raw materials in line with the production requirements.
    • Adequate experience to manage job independently.
    • Applicant should have the ability to lead a large team & implement a smooth commercial policy.
    • Should have sharp knowledge for update required license from concern organization.
    • Strongly follow up the status of Import & Local plan for Raw & Packing materials.
    • Having vast knowledge on all import/export procedure.
    • Having sound knowledge of Bank activities, customs rules & regulations related to import/export.
    • Should have comprehensive knowledge on: Shipping documents related to import/export.
    • Bond License and various procedures related to this.
    • Must be computer literate.
    • Must have good verbal & written communication skills in English.
