Roles & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the organization and implementation of the site development projects in accordance to the instruction of the technical supervisor.
- Support site planning activities for camps and camp-like settlements, including coordination with sectors (Shelter / WASH / Health), local authorities and implementing partners.
- Produce sketch designs, documentation (AutoCAD), presentation drawings (3D rendering / Adobe CC) and mapping (ArcGIS).
- Assist the Site Planner / Architect to develop site plans.
- Assist the Site Planner / Architect to facilitate multi-agency and multi-sectoral cooperation to implement macro-level interventions and hazard mitigation.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify in-depth understanding of the characteristics of the sites in Ukhia and Teknaf
- Provide necessary information and documentation for the preparation of project proposals for IOM to contact potential donors and/or government agencies. Contribute to operational planning for emergency preparedness and response and hazard mitigation / disaster risk reduction initiatives.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Educational Qualification:
- University degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; or
- High School Degree / Certificate in the above field with five years of relevant professional experience.
Work Experience:

- Experience with International Organizations and/or NGOs an advantage
- Experience in camp rehabilitation and site development an advantage
- Experience working within the region an advantage
- Experience in site planning is required as per ToR
- Experience in computer aided drawing is required
- Experience in geographic information systems is an advantage
