Coordinator - Urban & Private Health Systems

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and coordination of the implementation of FP and MR-PAC service delivery through public and private facilities supported by Ipas Bangladesh.
  • The Coordinator will be positioned in Dhaka and will work under the Advisor - Health Systems & Training and will work through facility visits and liaise with the national and local managers and providers especially in the urban areas and in private health facilities.
  • S/he will also coordinate with GoB/PNGO, Medical College Hospitals, divisional health and family planning offices and will assist for ensuring smooth program implementation in private health facilities in consultation with the supervisor.
  • S/he will liaise with the officials of public and private sector facility providers and managers and Ipas team including the Divisional Coordinators of Ipas Bangladesh for ensuring supports in providing quality of FP, MR & PAC services.
  • Assists in organizing meetings, training sessions, orientations and other events in facilities and with GOB and NGO stakeholders; prepares budget, organizes venue, identifies and invites participants, and provides logistic support for the meeting and writing meeting minutes and report.
  • Reviews program implementation with extensive field visit independently or jointly with MOH/PNGO officials and by reviewing the data of the HMIS in the Ipas program areas and provides support to ensure that data quality standards are monitored and met;
  • Follows up on implementation of monitoring, review and evaluation recommendations; ensures the optimal use of evaluation findings by providing guidance in preparation of timely management response to all mandatory evaluations.
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by the supervisor as and when needed

Educational Qualification:

  • Masters degree in social science/Development Studies/Public Health or relevant subjects.

Work Experience:

  • 3 to 4 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • At least 3-4 years experience in reproductive health, MR/PAC and family planning project implementation.
  • Experience in facilitating reproductive health in private facilities would be considered as an added value.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willing to extensive travel for program activities including training events, support in facility improvement, supply of logistics and follow-up activities.
  • Ability to work as an effective team player
