Market Development Officer

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist to develop a detailed project implementation plan for yearly with multi-stakeholders
  • Assist to line manager for intensive consultation of business plans, financing mechanism and other service providers to make WASH as profitable services
  • Locates or proposes potential entrepreneurs business deal with relevant stakeholders; discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Gather and analyze relevant market information for the purpose of accurate and confident decision-making in determining project strategy and selection of potential individuals for being entrepreneurs
  • PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
  • Introduce program to relevant stakeholders including local business owners, local representatives and community members
  • Work in close coordination with project staff and other partners, plan, implement and monitor of market development activities
  • Ensure project implementation is on time, target and budget, using effective M&E systems to reach desired impacts
  • Conduct WASH market research and updated to WASH entrepreneurs
  • Work closely with supervisor to capture data for measuring output and impact of the project; and to ensure accurate and timely flow of information from the field. Recognize opportunities for innovative action and create an environment where alternative viewpoints are welcomed.
  • TEAM MANAGEMENT
  • Support team members with information, tools and resources to improve performance & reach objectives
  • Create and sustain a work environment of mutual respect where team members strive to achieve excellence

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Work Experience:

  • At least 5 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Both males and females are allowed to apply
  • Five (5) years and of three (3) years of practical experience in the private sector development
  • Good understanding of business and knowledge of private sector
  • Knowledge of the WASH sector highly desirable
  • Good negotiation skills and high tolerance for uncertainty
  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm as well as a willingness to learn and to be continually adaptive within a dynamic and often self-directed working environment mandatory
  • Willingness to spend much time in the field and work closely with program target groups
