Roles & Responsibilities:
- Researches social media communication trends, best practices, policies, procedures, and accessibility in both the private and public sectors.
- Identifies and assesses potential opportunities for Friendship to use social media tools to enhance the scope, versatility and breadth of communication; and makes recommendations for their integration at Friendship.
- Contributes to the development of Friendship social media strategy and policy taking the lead for implementation. Develops, proposes and implements social media guidelines, procedures, templates, tools, standards, retention schedules in compliance with Friendship policies.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Content Manager, monitors, reviews, and analyzes comments and conversations on Friendships social media sites and also on external social media, such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube, Instagram etc. to identify insights, emerging trends, risks and impact on Friendship, looking for opportunities for engagement.
- Develops recommendations on how to respond to complex and sensitive social media inquiries and issues and reviews them with Assistant Content Manager and Head of Communications. Advises senior management on recommended approaches and potential repercussions. Responds to all inquiries/comments and/or coordinating with appropriate division, programs, etc. for response/action.
- Works with the Assistant Content Manager and Head of Communications to source, create (i.e. write short original content) , edit, and post multi-media content on social media sites; edits all video content for dissemination on YouTube Channel or on website and for distribution to external stakeholders; maintains all social media platforms for Friendship; and, ensures timeliness and quality of all activities given their visibility to the public. Consults with internal and external stakeholders when targeting events for which social media will be used.
- Content writing for internal and external communications, newsletters, website, blogs, and social media platforms.
- Reporting from Friendships working areas, producing compelling and enlightening content that will give readers context about Friendships work and generate interest in it.
Educational Qualification:
- BS degree in English, Business Administration, Communications or related field
Work Experience:
- At least 2 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- Proven working experience in social media management, content management and article writing
- Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation, reporting and communication skills
- Proficient in written English and Bangla
- Occasional field visits required
