Program Officer - ECCD

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall operational plan/training plan/materials development and supply plan of ECCD activities
  • Identify the gap of teaching learning methodology and support to the supervisors to overcome those gaps in the sessions.
  • PROGRAM MONITORING SUPERVISION AND SUPPORT IN IMPLEMENTATION:
  • Regular on-site monitoring of the regular sessions and support implementation of jointly developed plans.
  • Support to the resource center based community educators, animators in implementing monthly/bi-monthly learning and reflection discussions to improve the teaching learning activities.
  • Provide on-site supports to ensure proper uses and preservation of materials at centers.
  • Assist in developing appropriate tools to measure the impact of training on learning aid
  • Prepare Detail implementation plan with the support of supervisor.
  • Prepare report on training, field observation and other events when necessary.
  • TRAINING AND MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT:
  • Design different training courses and training materials for the ECCD Program
  • Training facilitation for staffs and stakeholders.
  • Follow up training output at field level for smooth implementation and find out gaps between session and field.
  • Develop training/refreshers courses based on the observation findings and learners progress.
  • Design and prepare age appropriate learning aids/toys for children aged 0-6 years using low cost raw materials.
  • Prepare guideline for proper uses of learning materials
  • Identify effects of learning materials on childrens development.

Educational Qualification:

  • Master Degree, preferably in Social Science/ ECCD/ Education or relevant area

Work Experience:

  • At least 2 year(s)

Others Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience including one year in child development program
  • Preference will be given to the candidates having experience and knowledge on Early Childhood care & Development components
  • Clear understanding about learning outcome including literacy and numeracy, formal and non-formal education practices and inter-linkages
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Should have good skills on training design and facilitation, report writing ability both in English and Bangla
  • Proficiency on computer using MS Office and ability to type in Bangla and English.
