Roles & Responsibilities:
- As a part of mid-level management of Rohingya Response program under health sector the Project Manager-Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC) will be responsible for the overall management of the PHCC, the management of all PHCC staff (clinical and non-clinical) as well as budget and project management for the PHCC related awards.
- The Post holder will be line managed by the Head of Health Program with a dotted line to the Health TA.
- This PHCC is situated in Kerantoli and provide health care services 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
- The PHCC will be a secondary referral centre with 15-20 inpatient beds, focusing on Obstetric and Paediatric care.
- This PHCC also provides OPD services including EPI, and RH consultations. As a lead of this Centre the post holder will oversee the PHCC clinical supervisors and WASH, nutrition, logistics, Child Protection, and MHPSS teams.
- The incumbent will closely work with the Clinical Lead to manage a high-quality Primary Health Care Centre services managed by competent staff to treat and refer the Rohingya community within the PHCC catchment area.
- S/he is accountable for ensuring inter-departmental coordination with medical team and non -medical teams ensuring continuum of care and a good quality of health services to the patients as well as a good maintenance of the hospital buildings and all support services.
- Provide technical oversight and capacity building of concerned staffs for ensuring quality of care of this centre is another vital responsibility of this role.
- S/he will also be responsible for developing and implementing work-plans, report-writing, monitoring progress of project targets and key indicators, and coordinating with the Health Manager and logistics and finance departments on procurement and transport of all PHCC materials including orders of drugs and medical supplies.
- This position will mainly focus on supportive supervision and on the job training instead of direct patient care and closely work with the MEAL staff to ensure that Quality Assurance measures and adequate and appropriate patient feedback mechanisms are in place. This role will also involve representation of the organization on occasions.
Educational Qualification:
- Medical Graduate (MBBS degree)
Work Experience:
- At least 5 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience of clinical team management, conducting clinical and in-service trainings
- Sound understanding and experience of primary health care including maternity and IPD services, EPI program, vaccination campaigns, as well as pediatrics and Infectious disease control
- Experience of working in a district hospital including management and clinical care will add value
- Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, excellent interpersonal-skills/ ability to represent the organization with local authorities and community leaders.
- Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English including clinical terminology,
- Ability to work under pressure, be flexible in challenging situation and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites
