Roles & Responsibilities:
- The midwife will work to contribute to an improvement in reproductive, maternal and neonatal health through the provision of advice, care, support and services for women and their families before, during and after childbirth.
- The midwife will also be involved in providing healthcare education and working with the MCHN promoters to ensure appropriate messages are shared with the community.
- She will also provide assistance for infant feeding problems and ensure safe infant feeding is supported according to guidelines. Provision of counselling to caregivers on caring for newborns;
- Ensure all medical equipment is properly stored and utilized and maintain patients confidentiality are also comprised with this role.
Educational Qualification:
- Degree on Midwifery/Nursing, preferably from Government affiliated institutions.
Work Experience:
Others Requirements:
- Basic knowledge about the health service delivery systems
- Demonstrated experience of working in clinic/hospital setup
- Sound understanding on CMAM, IYCFE and Vaccination program
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in MS Office
