Roles & Responsibilities:
- As a member of the Senior Management Team of Rohingya Response Program, Head of Award Management will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective award management function.
- This position will lead award management for all programmes; develop best practice award management processes across the Rohingya Response program; contribute to the capacity building of both AM team and other relevant staff members including budget holders to ensure high quality delivery.
- The role offers a leadership opportunity for a highly experienced individual in grants management, business development and donor communications.
- It requires a capable individual to provide strategic leadership to a dynamic team responsible for supporting ambitious fundraising targets as well as management of a portfolio of awards currently valued at 55 Million USD.
- The person fulfilling the role need to coordinate with Save the Children global network and donors to identify funding opportunities, development of high quality proposals and ensuring proposal budgets are accurately costed.
- The incumbent also need to provide on the job information and support to the technical and field-based teams to deliver donor compliant awards and high quality and on time donor reports.
- This person is also expected to play a role in the development of a culture that promotes the primacy of ensuring Save the Children delivers high quality programmes as well as need to work beyond normal role profile/hours if there is any major humanitarian emergency
Educational Qualification:
- Relevant academic and professional degree from reputed University.
Work Experience:
- At least 10 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- At least 10 years experience in grants management, business development and donor communications, of which 5 years on a senior management level position in a national or international organization; prior experience in emergency response/humanitarian context preferred
- Proven track record of providing strategic leadership to a dynamic team which is responsible for supporting ambitious fundraising targets as well as strategic support across multiple sectors and/or regions
- Hands on experience of managing large portfolio with international/national organization; establishing and running the award management function in the field; working with multi donors
- Sound Knowledge of the requirements of major institutional donors including budgeting, eligibility issues, compliance management, and reporting; experience of engaging with donors at a strategic level
- Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a demanding workload comprised of diverse and challenging tasks and responsibilities
- Experience of Project Management, M&E Management or Funding Coordination is also desirable
- Proven skills in staff management, coaching, capacity building, problem solving and ability to analyse trends
- Very strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to analyse trends
- Familiarity with Save the Childrens award management system (AMS) and financial reporting will add value
- Excellent communication skills including a high level of written and spoken English
