Roles & Responsibilities:
- The Project Director will have overall responsibility for implementation/operation and management of the project.
- S/he will responsible to ensure uninterrupted and effective representation of the project to USAID.
- Responsible for overall coordination and liaison with the Government respective line directorates, USAIDs partners in Bangladesh and other stakeholders at national and district level.
- Responsible for managing sub-grantee/partner and supervision and monitoring of the project staff
- Responsible to accelerate the project plan with the leadership, guidance and technical support for effective implementation of the project to achieve the projects goal complying with Government, USAID and Caritas Policies and Guideline
- Responsible for ensuring real time monitoring with the effective use of INCA mobile app, dashboard, timely reporting and documentation.
- Facilitates joint monitoring visits of Government authorities, donor visits and other stakeholders.
Educational Qualification:
- Advance degree in nutrition, public health, Social Science or related fields.
Work Experience:
- At least 10 year(s)
Others Requirements:
- At least 10 years experience in leading, managing and implementing efforts to improve nutrition and /or maternal child health and nutrition.
- Good understanding about USAIDs strategy and policies and Government health sector program.
- Good understanding of community approaches to improve nutrition, especially in rural areas, maternal and child health, government health services and gender issues.
- Knowledge of the culture and context of coastal community of Bangladesh
- Experience in USAID funded project management and implementation especially the health and nutrition project
- Experience interacting and negotiating with government counterparts and other international and local organizations working in the health sector at the highest levels.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
